Why I Love The Black Man

His Black is Beautiful

By Poetry LoverPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

Why I love the Black Man

Why I love the black man

We come from the same struggles

We both fighting to survive with an honest hustle

Seen as a threat because of the skin he’s in

Fighting two wars daily; day out and day in

Will he make it home safely at the end of each day

Every day and night I get on my knees and pray

Why I love the black man

I am the reflection of him

When I was created I was made apart him

He needs a lot of love; because he was born into a lot of hate

Being a black queen with a black king; wasn’t by chance it was fate

I love everything about him; every single little detail

His likeness is of a lion; he was made to rule and prevail

Why I love the black man

Is the same reason why he’s hated

Just his presences alone makes me so elated

His blackness is beautiful

His strength is not brutal

He was made strong built for endurance

The black woman was made strong as extra insurance

We are certainly in this thing we call life together

We’ve been thru the trenches and stormiest weather

We will continue to fight until things get better

Long as we unite and fight this war together

There’s countless reasons of why I love the black man

It’s for sure ride or die until the living end ✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽
