Why Don't You Understand Me?
A Poetic Journey Through Miscommunication and Longing

In the silence, I speak so loud,
But my words are lost in the crowd.
My voice, it echoes, far and wide,
Yet in your ears, it seems to hide.
I craft my thoughts with tender care,
Send them soaring through the air.
But when they land, they're torn apart,
Lost somewhere between your heart.
Why don’t you hear the plea I send,
The gentle call that never bends?
Is it the space or is it time,
That twists my words, and steals the rhyme?
I reach for you with open hand,
But you don’t see, you can’t understand.
What keeps us locked in distant lands?
The ties that hold, like shifting sands.
And so I stand, in quiet plea,
Wishing that you could truly see,
The words that dance within my mind,
The ones I hope you one day find.
