Why can’t you love me?

It is beyond sad

To be with someone for years

and feel like a dead rose; tell me why,

why can’t you see the stars when you see me?

I want to be your blanket

I want to be your teddy bear,

Do you prefer it from someone else?

See, that’s the thing, new love, and then…

and then there is love that you get used to.

Why are you so attracted to a person when meeting them?

Why are you lazy to put in the effort?

Honeymoon phase is over, I get it, but

I refuse to believe a relationship can be boring after spending so much time together,

Come on, you can’t keep the flame going?

Could you handle it if I just stopped as well?

Could you handle me not reacting anymore to your coldness?

Get rid of your pride please,

Don’t tell me it was a mistake

to be with me, simply because you hate

the way I fold your clothes,

I know I lack so many things,

But have you looked at yourself?

Does it mean anything to you that you still melt me?

So, why can’t you love me?
