Our Black mothers were thrown off boats into the sea , then you tell us we can’t make believe .

Well I like to think of a different story.

Where the little black girl doesn’t die she multiples ! She grows out of the womb of a abandon slave only to become a beautiful black mermaid .

As she sings your souls pause so beautiful it silences the oo and ahh’s

I don’t mean to get that deep but my mind and soul are with those who couldn’t even make it , the ones who are really under the sea .

Where the world stops the color races that’s where I wish I could be part of that world .
