Who We Hang With Determines How Much Self-Love

Surround yourself with people meeting their challenges, people who make excellent mirrors

You are a Badass Deck, by Jen Sincero — It’s time to get mighty clear about what makes you happy and what makes you feel the most alive, and then create it instead of pretending you can’t have it.

The cards in this deck were created from a book You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life.

Poetry makes me happy, especially rhyming poetry.

Feeling alive is no jive

create while I sit

writing this today and hey

"I am as happy

as I make up my mind

to be" on this day

Lincoln used to say

relax and unwind

slow down and don't run

have fun in the sun

and please enjoy everyone!

HANG HIGH - Who you surround yourself with greatly affects how you see your world and how high you set the bar for yourself. Hang out with people who are living on purpose, who meet their challenges with a step aside, suckers attitude, who are dating super awesome people, who are making exactly the kind of money they want to be making (or working toward it) and you'll not only see what's possible for you, too, but you'll have more incentive to follow suit. Jen Sincero

Recovering people are important for me to surround myself with. To learn from and to support. To be reminded of who I am and where I came from. To learn to live a spiritual life.

Family are the loves of my life! I appreciate all that they do for me and do my best to support them wherever and whenever I can! I love and pray for them. That is how I can give the most is with love and prayer.

Other writers on Vocal, Medium, NaNoWriMo and in my writers group are so important in my endeavor to write and publish.

Then friends that I grew up with, and worked with and those friends I met along the way are important relationships.

My son was impressed with my knowing a few top politicians. After thinking about it he asked why I didn't go that route. I did work in policy and experienced politics and would never choose a position in politics again.

Too much work to not make much of a difference is what I found. Now, how is that for negative!

I truly believe I have to stay positive and how would that work if I had to be that negative all of the time? Addiction demands we stay negative. There are more addictions than alcohol and drugs.

The people you surround yourself with are excellent mirrors for who you are and how much, or how little, you love yourself. Jen Sincero

Mirrors

makes clearer

that who is nearer

maybe a bearer

of good or not

how you have fought

for who you are

and how incredibly far

you will go

to know

about loving self

Insightful. I like the positive vibe and fully agree when it comes to politics.
