Who Needs Diamonds, This Is How He Touches Me

I know he loves me dearly

Who Needs Diamonds, This Is How He Touches Me

He doesn’t need stones

to mark his love.

His hands speak louder

than rings ever could.

When he pulls me close,

there’s a warmth I feel

that no jewel could catch,

no metal could hold.

His touch is quiet,

like a promise,

soft but certain.

It stays long after he’s gone.

He knows the language

of skin and soul,

knows how to reach me

without a single word.

No diamonds on my fingers,

but a thousand touches

that tell me every day,

I am seen, I am wanted,

I am enough.

Lovely and so true - there is so much that is said with a gentle touch. I am big on affection in a relationship, and even if it dies, it tends to die with it.
