What are you doing

Don’t eat that

Stop that

Get over here

Get that out of your mouth

Go lay down

Go outside

Get inside

Don’t roll in that

Get out of the houseplants

Don’t lick that

Don’t drink that

Quit playing with that

Get out of the road

Quit licking me

Get your nose out of my butt

Quit playing in the bed

No running in the house

Leave that cat alone

What do you have in your mouth

Could you just hush for a minute

Get to bed and go to sleep

Things people have said

to toddlers and their dogs

Come near, sit a spell, and listen to tales of old as I sit and rock by my fire. I'll serve you some cocoa and cookies as I tell you of the time long gone by when your Greats-greats once lived.
