White Wolf - Nakiya Costin
A pack of humans
Destructive creatures
Hunt more than the world could feed them.
Stumbling came the young mammoth
Charge again but no ivory to bare.
I hang back
The hunt never for me
An arrow loosed and missed.
A white wolf caught it
Paw to nose
Hunt occupied I quietly rose
Up the slope to great this message
I removed my arrow
And begged forgiveness.
Off through the snow he ran
Leaving blood
I could not stand
To watch my pack
Take his coat home
I covered the blood
And went alone.

Nakiya Costin
Go step outside at night and face where the sun set. Now turn a fraction to the north and you see that big star there? That's where I'm from. I'll tell you some stories of that place sometime. But not right now. I'm busy making stuff up.
