White Light

By Allison Pearce

By Allison Pearce Published 5 years ago 2 min read

I surround myself with ease

In a circle of White Light

All the colours refracting

Through my body, so bright

Not one is more beautiful

They all hold their own awe

Like rings circling Saturn

Spring colouring Earth more

My eyes reflecting green

Of the clear water spring

Long golden yellow hair

Like an old crown of a King

Speckled with gems

Like a warm rainbow's bend

Forever chasing rainbows

I finally found the end

I could tell you the truth

Was there a pot of gold?

There truly is a gift

Though not my story to be told

As I get closer to nature

From the ground I grow

I am a delicate flower

All ready to glow

So secret and vulnerable

The colours of my aura

Awaiting for the moment

To shine my vivid flora

I am in awe of colour

It compliments my presence

In a ray of infinite spectrum

Reflecting my whole essence

For I am White Light

Filled with seven colours bright

We can lighten up the darkness

Even in the night

The blueness of sky

The greenness of trees

The orange of sunset

The yellow of bees

How beautiful to ponder

We are connected to such grace

All equally splendour

In a magical place

The greyest of day

I will never judge

For it is still a day

That could bring me love

Beauty is truth

Our true nature within

From a weed or a flower

We are all next of kin

I find fault in nothing

I see joy in all colour

From magenta to cyan

From Winter to Summer

Colour has a language

It speaks raw to the soul

In the form of expression

Without any control

Light moods of black

Dark moods of yellow

There will always be a sadness

In the happiest of meadow

So, colours to me

Are like different visions

Yet not one more or less

All are loving admissions

My joy I that I bring

Is to not judge other beings

For we are all on a journey

With our unique divisions

If I harnessed a rainbow

And inhaled all the colour

I would gently exhale

All my love to another

Wielding one sense

No taste, nor smell

A celebration to the sight

Vibrant, soft pastel

Purple hues of dusky dawn

Fluorescent green snakes

Burnt orange butterflies

And sapphire crystal lakes

A million shades of emotional tones

It's creation clear and pure

An outpour of sensations

Yet quiet and demure

This world is far beyond

Of what our eyes can see

Imagine all the colour around

Connecting you and me

Colour is an energy

It brightens up the Earth

All throughout the Universe

We should gratify it's worth

It brings unthought pleasure

It does not judge or rate

A spray of colour and heartfulness

In the memories we create

I am grateful for today

To embrace the shades of Summer

For where would we be

In a world without any colour.
