inspired by the sad reality of coral bleaching

i saw the white stone corpse
of underwater trees
as i was slowly drifting by
observed their untimely death
and mourned their fleating beauty
i saw the colour draining
from few that still remained alive
in silence of the ocean
i grieved for them and cried
this is more then common
global warming affect
it’s home destruction, murder
a criminal offence
in mear 2 to 3 decades
we have destroyed the sea
and no one wants to face it
many have looked
pretending not to see
temperature still rises
more plastic floats about
but people just look past it is
it’s bullshit in their mind
i saw the bleached blond corals
i saw what we have done
the tragedy and horror
their death, for ‘comfort’ in our life
