Whispers of Yesterday
A Poem of Nostalgia and Timeless Joy

Golden rays spill through the trees,
painting the past in amber hues,
where laughter lingers on the breeze,
a melody time cannot lose.
Footsteps dance on cobbled streets,
where echoes hum of days long gone,
soft summer air, so warm, so sweet,
like childhood dreams that still live on.
Barefoot races through the sand,
waves that chased but never caught,
fingers tracing lines in hands,
secrets held in moments sought.
The sky once held our paper planes,
wild with hope, unchained, so free,
we swore we’d never break or change,
but time still whispered—soft yet keen.
Yet even as the years drift past,
the heart recalls, it won’t forget—
for in each sunrise, shadows cast,
the soul still sings with no regret.
