Whispers of Winter

A frozen symphony

By Varsha ElizabethPublished 2 years ago Updated 2 years ago 1 min read
A frozen symphony

A brisk and biting wind begins to blow,

Between the scattering of falling snow,

Crystal flakes descending, an ethereal show.

Delicate whispers in the winter air,

Echoes of a season, cold and fair.

Frosty tendrils weave through the night,

Glistening landscapes bathed in soft light.

Howls of distant winds harmonise,

Ice-kissed branches beneath grey skies.

Journeying through the tranquil, snow-laden trees,

Kaleidoscopic beauty in the freeze.

Lingering shadows dance on the ground,

Muffled footsteps in silence abound.

Nature's lullaby, the winter's song,

Over frozen landscapes, it drifts along.

Pale moonlight on a snowy expanse,

Quietude embraced in a tranquil trance.

Reveries of snowflakes, each unique,

Softly falling, silent and meek.

Tranquil valleys in a wintry embrace,

Underneath the silver moon's grace.

Velvet darkness, a serene shroud,

Whispers of winter, a tranquil crowd.

Xanadu in Frost, a magical spell,

Yearning for warmth, yet winter's swell.

Zephyrs carry tales of snow's descent.
