An Ode to Nature's Timeless Beauty

Under the shade of sunset when the shadows fade.

A shining light passes through the woodland gleam.

The air that is sweet, with a refrain.

Chirping birds and dew’s champagne.

Raining, a silver thread winds up a river.

Through old stones of mossy bed.

Its laughter rings softly, clearly.

A melody for all to hear.

Majesty bold mountains rise.

Veiled with emerald and gold.

Their embrace is wide and they peak against the heavens.

Secrets time no longer can be hidden by guards.

They glow fields of lavender.

Beautiful, barren and fragrant sea that a painter may dream of.

Its amber glow low in the sun.

Always turning every leaf to molten show

Elsewhere in the hurrying forest life is humming that we cannot see.

A kingdom full and green.

Foxes dart, owls, flight.

Under the hoods of velvet night.

A tempest grand roars the ocean.

Those waves smack against the sand.

For skies that were so boundless so deep.

Stars like whispers very softly sleep.

And in winter’s frost or summer’s bloom.

Nature’s respite of all gloom.

Beatiful, its in its raw being, its in its spirit being free.

An endless hymn of harmony.

tread softly, for here we lie.

Heart of time, pulse of earth …

And of a world alive — vast, near.

For ever dear a treasure of wonder.
