Whispers of the Waves:
The waves arrive with whispered grace,
A soft caress, a warm embrace.
They dance upon the shore’s worn line,
In rhythm, timeless and divine.
They kiss the sand, then pull away,
As if they have no words to say—
But in their hush, a song is sung,
Of journeys vast and tides begun.
The moon, a queen, commands their flight,
They rise in silver, fall in light.
Each crest a thought, each trough a dream,
A memory adrift downstream.
They carry tales from distant skies,
Of sailor hearts and sirens’ cries,
Of storms that shook the ocean wide,
And ships that vanished in the tide.
They’ve seen the stars in mirrored glow,
And danced where sunken ruins grow.
They’ve tasted tears of those who weep,
And rocked the cradle of the deep.
Yet still they come with patient grace,
To meet the shore, to touch its face.
No bitterness, no scorn they show—
Just ebb and flow, and ebb and flow.
Oh, if the waves could speak aloud,
Would they be humble, bold or proud?
Would they confess they long to stay,
Yet always must be swept away?
But they just hush and roll and glide,
As if no storm can shake their pride.
Eternal dancers, wild yet wise,
Beneath the ever-changing skies.
So stand and watch, and you might hear,
Their ancient voice, so soft, so near—
Not shouting loud, but low and brave—
The whispered soul of every wave.
