Whispers of Longing

A Child's Love Song to Mom

By isam2869Published 2 years ago 1 min read

In the soft glow of bedtime's sigh,

I yearn for you, my lullaby.

Mom, in the quiet, I feel the space,

Longing for your warm embrace.

Whispers of day in the moonlit hush,

My heart, Mom, it's you it does crush.

Longing to hold your hand so tight,

Navigate darkness into your light.

In crayon dreams and teddy bear talks,

I miss the comfort of our evening walks.

Longing for stories, your voice so sweet,

A melody of love, no one can beat.

Days without you, like puzzle pieces astray,

Longing to piece them in your love's array.

Mom, in every hug, in each goodnight kiss,

It's your warmth, your love, that I dearly miss.

In the twinkle of stars, in the morning's gleam,

Longing for you, it's more than it seems.

Yet, in the waiting, love takes its place,

A child's longing for a mother's embrace.
