Whispers of Inward Echoes and Outward Ripples

By Ken Day

In the depths of our being, let us explore,

The wonders of senses, both within and outdoors.

Beyond the five we know so well,

There are others to discover, stories to tell.

Within, there's an intuition, a guiding light,

That flickers softly, illuminating our sight.

A sense that whispers truths deep inside,

Nudging us gently, becoming our guide.

Emotions surge, like a tempest's gale,

A sense that weaves a vibrant emotional tale.

From joy's euphoria to sorrow's embrace,

Feelings entwined, painting life's grace.

Outer senses dance in harmony with the air,

A symphony of sensations, beyond compare.

Sight beholds beauty, in each captivating scene,

The world's colors and wonders, a dazzling dream.

Hearing captures melodies, both sweet and grand,

Whispers of symphonies, notes that expand.

Tunes that stir the soul, harmonies that ignite,

Sounds that resonate, taking flight.

Taste, a journey through flavors divine,

An exploration of sensations, a culinary shrine.

From delicate sweetness to savory delights,

The palate's adventure, a culinary height.

Smell, a portal to memories untold,

Fragrances that unlock stories of old.

The scent of rain on a summer's day,

Or the nostalgic aroma of fresh-cut hay.

Touch, the language of connection and care,

A gentle caress, a comforting share.

Textures that beckon, through fingertips' grace,

The softness of velvet, the warmth of embrace.

And beyond these senses, a deeper knowing,

An inner compass, ever-growing.

Intuition, emotions, and senses intertwined,

Guiding us through life, a map undefined.

So let us embrace both inner and outer,

The symphony of senses, without a doubt, matter.

For they shape our perception, our very essence,

A tapestry of experiences, a gift of presence.

In the realm of senses, let us celebrate,

The symphony within, the world we create.

With gratitude for all that we perceive,

May our senses awaken, and our spirits believe.
