The wind sighs low through broken panes,
A melody of lingering pains.
I ask you, God, what fuels the fight,
And keeps the world in endless night?
We yearn for dawn, not fading stars,
Beyond the fences, beyond the scars.
I bear no malice, hold no spite,
My inner compass points to right.
Let children laugh in streets so bare,
And breathe in kindness everywhere.
Let mothers weep for joys restored,
Their weary hearts forever soared.
Let fathers stand with shoulders strong,
Where right prevails over all wrong.
I ask you, Lord, for hearts to mend,
That understanding may ascend.
To walk together, hand in hand,
And cultivate a peaceful land.
Silence the voices that divide,
You are the truth, our steadfast guide.
It's you, my Lord, whose love can bind,
The fractured spirits of mankind.
Plant seeds of trust where doubt has grown,
Until a harvest can be sown.
Erase the anger, quell the rage,
Turn a new leaf on history's page.
Help us, Lord, in our despair,
To build a world beyond compare.
Destroy the roots of bitter hate,
Before it seals a cruelest fate.
You Almighty God, our strength and stay,
Lead us towards a brighter day.
