Whimsy's Dreamworld
An Odyssey Through the Surreal
Beneath the moon's peculiar grin,
In a realm where strange dreams begin,
I'll craft a poem, surreal and obscure,
Where reality's edges blur for sure.
Fish swim in the sky, birds in the sea,
An upside-down world, where chaos runs free,
Mountains wear hats, clouds wear shoes,
In this topsy-turvy world, nothing's as it should choose.
Painted elephants dance on the breeze,
Invisible castles in the forest of trees,
Teacups converse with the wise old cat,
In this surreal place, imagine all that!
The sun's a golden balloon, floating high,
As rivers of chocolate ripple and sigh,
Stars are lanterns, lighting our way,
In this whimsical world, night and day play.
A clock's made of cheese, it chimes with a crunch,
In the land of oddities, there's no need for hunch,
You ride on a rainbow, slide down a beam,
In this surreal poem, it's all as it seems.
The moon serenades the dancing waves,
As mermaids emerge from their watery caves,
Trees whisper secrets in a language unknown,
In this surreal dreamscape, a world of its own.
But when morning breaks and the dreamland fades,
Reality beckons, the surreal cascades,
Yet in these verses, the magic resides,
A glimpse of the surreal, where the dreamer abides.
About the Creator

Like it says above my name is Kailee, though many of my friends call me Kit because I tend to draw foxes a lot in my spare time whenever I'm not writing up a storm. I love writing as you can no doubt tell from how I've been posting.
