When love fades, the most honest choice is to accept it. There's no need for explanations, no need to ask "why," and no need to make humble attempts to keep someone who no longer wants to stay. No matter what you do, the other person no longer cares. They won't be moved, nor will they feel your pain. Their cold departure is the result of a long-awaited weighing of the pros and cons.

Don't be unwilling to accept an outcome that doesn't match the journey you shared. Don't tally the gains and losses of your relationship, and don't bitterly reflect on your own shortcomings. All of this has lost its meaning. If you've loved wrongly, bravely let go.

With tears streaming down your face, brave the wind and step forward, one step at a time. Don't look back; doing so will only bring you back to that merciless coldness. Ahead, though the path is unknown, lies freedom. On a sunny day, you will slowly heal and be reborn.
