Tell me everything

Every little detail

I want to know all about your flaws

Your imperfections, your regrets

Your good and bad days

Tell me stories from your childhood

Tell me all about your happiest and saddest days

I want to know your story

I want to walk through your memories

I promise, I won’t disrupt anything

I will be a mere observer

In the quiet lanes of your memory

You can share your stories

At your own pace

Let me in slowly

I can wait. I don’t mind

But don’t shut me out

Don’t build walls that I can’t break

You know I am not that strong

You know I can’t climb your walls

I have walked out of my safe bubble

To the unpredictability of you

And I’m so afraid

You share little details

Sometimes you go quiet

Sometimes you hum

And I listen to everything

Even your silence

In your silence

I am softened

I forget all about my sadness

I let go of my rough edges

In my silence

You meet me

Some days, we don’t need words

Just each other’s presence.
