Where were you all…

… when I needed you?

the whole world stopped

at the inability to show me the necessary support

while I, too, fell into silence

made from the muted voices of the past

where, with no memories attached

I’m living my best of lives

free from worries and connections

building up unnecessary tension

rising to the roof

and swerving dangerously

between logs

from all the places I once loved

before I killed

lots of cockroaches

who followed the criminals’ inconspicuous instructions

but I, with one strong stray sweep

of my hand –

not skilled in that yet

and already prepared for the worst –

left them bleeding to death

and with gritted teeth

till

they can’t wait any longer

for the results

of working behind the scenes

in top gear

of urgency

not knowing where to start

or how to relax

always tense

long legs fidgeting

restless rigid ranks

*

the whole world is quiet today

all emergency services were dispatched

to distant places

to perform

a more sublime work of art

Your work is like driving at night on an unfamiliar road - I move forward with a vague notion of direction and heading but in out place surroundings! Teasing and trepidatious!
