Where The River Holds You
the ripples of life's creation

There is a hush the river holds -
not silence,
but a song too old to name.
It hums beneath the rush of water,
woven through birdsong,
leaf-breeze,
and the distant calls of the wild.
It says: you are welcome here.
It says: you belong.
You sit still,
and the world does too -
as if it knows how much you’ve carried,
how much you’ve given
without asking for return.
The water moves fast,
but it never hurries.
It teaches without words
how to keep flowing,
how to bend and shine
under light that doesn’t ask
for anything back.
Below you, the ripples widen -
soft circles growing outward,
like breath,
like grace.
You watch them with a quiet heart,
your soul settling
into something ancient and whole.
And I see you there -
not just as you are,
but as you’ve always been:
gentle, brave,
woven from the same wonder
as this place.
I hope you feel
what I see so clearly -
that the peace of this river
is already inside you.
That the joy it gives you
is a mirror
of what you deserve
everywhere.
The river may be the place
you remember who you are,
but you carry that stillness,
that clarity,
that sacredness
with you -
always.
So when the world grows loud again,
when your heart grows tired -
remember the water,
the way it holds you
without question,
and know:
You are worthy of that kind of love.
You are worthy of that kind of peace.
Not just here.
Everywhere:)
