Where Shadows Kiss the Light

A sonnet on love’s dance between hope and despair.

By shakir hamidPublished 3 months ago 1 min read

Love burns like dawn, yet fades when night draws near,

A fragile flame that trembles in the storm;

Its glow a promise whispered soft and clear,

Yet shadows press against its tender form.

Each memory shines, but aches with what is gone,

The smile of light dissolves in falling rain;

Still through the dark, a trembling hope is drawn,

For broken hearts still learn the truth through pain.

Yet night reveals the stars we could not see,

Their secret fire awakening the soul;

So grief transforms to strength that sets us free,

And loss becomes the thread that makes us whole.

For light and dark are woven, both divine,

And love is brightest where their edges twine.
