Where Shadows Dance in the Light

The shadows embrace the light’s tender hand

By Raymond BentumPublished about a year ago 1 min read

In the hush of dusk where whispers dwell,

Shadows rise, their stories to tell.

They stretch and sway in the golden hue,

Dancing softly where the light breaks through.

A lone lantern flickers, casting its glow,

On weary paths where travelers go.

Each step is heavy, yet forward they tread,

Guided by hope where despair had spread.

The shadows twist, they reach, they bend,

A silent reminder of trials that end.

For where there is light, the dark will cling,

A haunting waltz where opposites sing.

Yet see how the light pierces the night,

How even in sorrow, there’s beauty in sight.

The cracks in the heart let glimmers appear,

Resilience born of each fallen tear.

Under the arch of a star-kissed sky,

Where questions linger, and answers lie,

The shadows embrace the light’s tender hand,

Together they weave life’s intricate strand.

So let the shadows dance, let them play,

For they cannot dim the dawn of day.

In every balance, in every fight,

We find our strength where shadows meet light.
