Where Secrets Lurk

In truths we can't ignore

Where secrets lurk, thoughts dance, troubles surge

Shifting sands in truths we can’t ignore.

I knew so little of this life

A sneaky whisper of secrets spilled.

I am the forbidden fruit,

Bitter now is my soul.

Doubt shards everywhere,

Identity lost in shadows.

Who am I neath this veil

Torn of innocence forcefully stripped

Questions crash against the slate.

But the noise returned is senseless

Forbidden dreams flow.

Tough truths bring

Troubled thoughts unravel

Then oxidise like copper.

Identity is a mishmash.

Found in the shadows

And leaves an unclear path.

In the depths of the human mind, where secrets are kept and thoughts swirl, troubles can rise like a stormy sea. The truth can be unstable, leaving us uncertain about the very essence of our being.

  • Troubled thoughts unravel Then oxidise like copper. Oooo, these lines were fantastic! Loved your poem!
