"Where Love Still Waits”
A heartfelt poem about love that lingers long after goodbye quiet, tender, and beautifully human.

You live in every season I’ve survived.
In the chill of November mornings,
Your name still finds a way
To breathe through fog and fallen leaves.
I walk past the café where we once sat,
Hands close enough to touch,
Yet both afraid of what that meant.
You smiled, and the world felt honest.
I’ve lived a thousand days since then
Learned to pour my own coffee,
To dance alone in a quiet kitchen,
To build peace from pieces of what we were.
But still, when night folds into silence,
Your voice drifts back like a familiar song
That refuses to end.
Not haunting, just reminding.
Love doesn’t vanish it changes shape.
It hides in the books we left half-read,
In the scent of old letters,
In the sound of footsteps fading but never gone.
I don’t wait for you anymore.
I wait for the version of myself
Who can remember without hurting.
And when she arrives
Maybe that will be love too.
