Where Have All My Reads Gone?

As a bookworm, I can’t believe

Little black books caused all these problems?

A great challenge to craft prose

Attracted 12000, but only one could win.

People got angry cause they lost.

No jackpot for them.

Just a few cents for their time!

12000 tales about a windfall of fortune was not the key to theirs.

Of course I entered!

Mine was about a boy and girl

That discover a book on how to be invisible...

The pages poured with money as

The pages reeked with adult doodles and rambles

That children could not comprehend.

The little black book took them on a journey to

Their father’s death bed.

And the first and only hug

From father to son

Gave sense to it all.

Even though $20,000 was out of my league.

It was another side-quest,

I had to complete.

After the winners were called,

I wonder what they thought of mine.

I asked for feedback, but I got none.

Perhaps my story was not telling.

When the time comes when they stop compensating,

This place will be an empty shell.

I’ve seen it happen to other platforms

That pay for voices.

One day I check my stats

And I see the consecutive zeros

Crush my heart with a spoon.

The hearts tell another story.

On top of that

I see people get bonuses for

Reading 15 tales, but I’ve read more

But I got none.

It’s only natural to think

On a site you pour your heart and soul into these thoughts!

All creators do...

Where’s my reads?

Where’s my bonuses?

Please pick me as a top story!

Please pick me as a challenge winner!

When will I get my breakthrough?

My quest to write 500 scrolls

On Vocal’s Kingdom has been long.

I have 60 left, and these last scrolls will be the hardest of them all.

I wonder what will happen if I reach 500 stories?

Will I get a bonus?

Will I be tipped?

Or will I be congratulated through a virtual party?

I hope the bugs get fixed soon!

I feel so close to 50,000 reads.

I’d be devastated to loose it all,

Even if it’s not a lot.

If it’s too late to close the book,

Then it may be time to watch a film.
