Where has all the Snow Gone

My thoughts on snow

Raindrops scatter on my window pane.

Instead of snow across the lane.

Grey storm clouds fill the air,

Not a single one seems to care.

For to most people out there,

The rain is a much better affair.

And well I wish for snow, to make my Christmas white.

All others are in absolute delight.

Warmer weather gives them ease,

As they can drive their cars as fast as the breeze.

No sidewalks to shovel each day,

More time for children to have outside play.

"We are so lucky" they grin to me,

But I do not understand how they see.

For warmer weather at this time,

Is a very clear sign of our crimes.

Sure the weather is allowed to change,

But not with this much range.

The world is heating by more than a mere degree,

And we think we're home free.

Do they not know,

How we really need the snow.

For there is not enough rain,

To alleviate earth's pain.

But I have come to fear,

That we no longer hear.

The cry for water and cool,

For we have become selfish fools.
