Where Dreams Begin and Stay
Just find the beach where sunsets show the way...
Gentle breezes call your name in whispers
as waters moan their need in softened slurs;
they reach to me with fingers foamy, white -
recall to thought your hands on thighs that night.
*
The sky reflects a blue I recognize
as that which pulls me into depths - your eyes.
Your arms surrounding me in warmth and love
as not a cloud is seen around, above.
*
A gentle wind blows dark across the salt ,
bringing with it night of calming cobalt.
For now I'll dream of love, of life, of take -
and pray to God that I may never wake.
*
I leave my footprints here for you to find
in case you ever look for me in kind.
Just find the beach where sunsets show the way -
I'll wait for you where dreams begin and stay.

Oh my, this is gorgeous! So many great lines, but this is one of my favourites: "...as waters moan their need in softened slurs." Masterful!
Such romantic poetry. This is really beautiful.
OOOOH, naughty thoughts, so divine. I agree, those last lines are to die for. Beautiful poetry.
This was soooo wonderful! Loved it so much!
You created quite the scene. And those last two lines brought it home. Well done!
Descriptive and romantic.. beautiful.
