A time where everything becomes still...
I remember your promises like it was yesterday,
You promised to never let go of our hands,
You gave a belief that you will be here with me,
And yet, I could only realize you were never there...
How much relief did I feel when I first saw you,
Shimmering light amidst the darkness,
Did you ever realize what did you do,
Or maybe I still couldn't get over you like you...
Another year, another new day without you,
Maybe after all these years I am a fallen one,
Do I wonder who would we be if you were here,
I still miss you, and there is none who could fill you like you...
I thought you were special, someone new to me,
I wished you were different than everyone,
There are signs about you that I didn’t realize,
You weren't mine and you wouldn't be mine...
