Where are we?

There and Then?

Where are we?

Prickly grass,

Soft caresses…

Yellow, feathery whispers of pollen,

Lazy lullaby tunes beaming off of wispy peels of ocean…

Squinting while squelching the flavour of ripe salty strawberries,

tip toeing over wet sand

Within these walls,

Within these horizons…

I see no up or down,

The sun exists but hides in the shadows where we sit.

Is this my head?

Filled with lead?

Rimmed with Mercury,

A shrinking hat certainly.

Flashing the last moments,

This one in particular,

Where us

in this snow globe

Is the happiest

Time of my life

Why here? Why you?

Should I say it?

Like I said it there and then.

Is this my last chance?

If so

Where am I?

And Where are you?
