Where are my readers from
Where in the world do my poems reach

Where are my readers from
I wonder who is reading these quiet lines.
what part of the world.
From what location, or corner of the world
do you peek through my words?
Are you by a window
with the wind pushing at the glass?
Or in a room, so small
your shadow touches the walls?
Say hi if the words reach you,
even if it’s just a flicker
across your eyes. tell me
where you are, the city, the town,
Where on the map that holds your name.
I want to know the distance between us
measured in letters and voices
that haven’t met. dont be shy.
Speak to me even if only once,
even if just to leave a mark
that says I am here.
I will read and carry it like a small fire
Through the pages until it meets
someone else's kind reply
its nice to know who drops by
Nice to know where in the world I touch.
