so i recently had an experience on vocal where i was basically downgraded and told that i was dumb.
i have been here since november of 2022. I KNOW HOW THIS WORKS. and i was trying to be "polite" and so i told the lady in polite terms that i have been on vocal for basically a year now and understand its policies and forums!
but yknow what? that completely just ruined my whole train of thought, and i couldn't stop thinking about how that person had just THREW ME UNDER THE BUS in front of everyone. and i shoulda gotten up there and said (but i'm paraphrasing here), "shut your face. i know what i'm doing. i probably know more about this place than you. bug off."
yah, i need to stand up for myself more often instead of being a squeaky polite mouse.
*half-joking, half-not. stand up for yourself when people call you dumb.*

Of all the 9th graders in existence, I consider you way above average in your writing skills, talent, creativity. Don't worry an iota what anyone says or thinks....you have many people in your fan club and the others don't count.
my husband doesn't exactly call me dumb but often implies that he knows more (especially when he doesn't). I look at him, draw an invisible S on my forehead and say, "yes, the S for stupid is back!" that shuts him up. I do the same for anyone else I know that tries to put me down. Hope you continue to stand up for yourself. NO ONE should ever criticize you! Glass houses, remember?
