When You Paint The World
Dear Broken Young Boy…

Dear Broken Young Boy,
You once painted bright yellows
Rainbows, smiles, and joy
You grew up too fast,
And then your canvas darkened
Erasing it all
I saw your vision,
Then your gentle touch vanished
No rainbows or joy…
You brushed off the pain
But, beauty is bright and dark
It’s yellow, and black
Paint the smiles, and tears
The devastation, and love
Life’s complex, and plain
When you paint the world,
Release every hue inside
Sincerely, Your Heart…
