When you finally see the point….

When you finally see the point

Because to be fair, it was far from clear

You still can’t be completely comfortable with it,

For long enough you felt

You were a bad person

Who screwed things up

But really you had things to heal

That you’d completely forgotten about

Or buried, it’s more accurate to say

You might have been a teen

Who believed themselves unworthy

Decades passed

That feeling was reanimated once more

As if you were right back there again

You weren’t expecting to feel how you did

And it wasn’t welcome

But that’s on the mundane human level

As a soul it was a lesson you needed to face

And really nothing bad happened

(Nothing bad was going to happen to be truthful )

There is no good and bad

Though that’s not what human judgements say

But at the time it truly burned and was hard to put away

In fact it could be argued it should perhaps have stayed

The choice was made though

To take the lesson

And say adieu

That this could have been done with kindness and acceptance

Is in fact a lesson too.
