When the Wind Came
a breakup poem

Our love was bundled sunlight in a
meadow’s tired haze: dandelion’s
ardor—.:fire:.—harbored wishes,
growing white together in
life’s frenzied, wayward maze.
Then the wind came, (and)
our wishes
parted
ways.

It's just so sad when two people who are in love want different things in life. Loved your Nonet!
“When the wind came, our wishes parted ways.” Was so good! Really captured that when circumstances get tough is when the test of true conviction occurs!
Beautifully penned, Gina!
'When the wind came, our wishes parted ways' that sums it up too well. How delicate the imagery, but how heavy the feels. Gorgeous, but I'd expect nothing less.
Beautiful piece. Well done, my friend.
Very beautiful Gina.
