When the Sun No Longer Forgives

Poetic Ragnarok

By Henrik HagelandPublished 7 months ago 1 min read
AI created picture with the poem as prompt June 2025.

Sun-locked rays,

clinging to driftwood—

the earth’s melting surface

boils with dying force.

.

Shadows fall short.

No longer does relief

exist

in our rotations.

.

Greed of Man,

Selfish Stupidity,

Monetary Arrogance,

Global Indifference.

.

Soon, far too late—

the waters rise,

menacing clouds hunt

the comfort

of civilization.

.

Winds rage,

thrash the sea,

pierce rooftops

like the thinnest

cookies!
