When the ocean drowns the earth
Life is wonderful why destroy everything

When the ocean drowns the earth
When the ocean drowns the earth
When the ocean drowns the earth,
poison clouds take our air
the sky will fall
and the world will end
Rivers rise like screaming metal
mountains tilt and shatter
the wind carries our last breaths
through fire and shadow
We will see the sun crack open
rain of black spilling from its bones
everything we knew
swallowed by the hollow silence
No prayers, no walls
no whispers to hold onto
just the collapse
the echo of everything undone
Ash drifts through broken skies
silent cities crumble beneath it
echoes of our voices vanish
leaving only emptiness
The world turns to shadow
time forgets its own name
nothing remembers, nothing waits
except the quiet of forever
This will be the end of it all.

This is a great, but depressing poem. The world will come to an end, but I am hoping not in my time. Good job.
Great poem, Marie, but the last line seems to be missing “be.”
