The night consumed us, heavy and thick.
Silence followed, time moved like a brick.
Every glance a tear, truth overflowed.
We danced on the edge of a love turned to ash.
Moments once golden now break with a crash.
Shadows hung heavy, hearts could not endure.
Every word unspoken, a wound that won't cure.
Days stretched like hunger, nights swallowed whole.
Taste of remembrance, bitter control.
We built our fortress, but walls cracked in fear.
A love that once soared now feels unclear.
Loneliness drapes like a shroud on my skin.
Corners of the room soaked in where we've been.
Tears blur echoes of laughter we shared,
With every breath taken, silence laid bare.
Still I remember the spark that once lit
The fire in your eyes, the warmth where we fit.
Now embers smolder deep in regret,
A love that’s a phantom, a haunting duet.
Here in the dark, where sorrow holds tight,
We bury our hopes, watching memories take flight.
No more whispers of promise, warmth left to find;
Just the ghost of our love in the depths of the mind.
In quiet stillness, where shadows conspire,
I trace fading outlines of lost desire.
For love that was fierce, a raging bright flame
Now flickers and dims, we drift feeling shame.
Beneath all the sorrow, I still feel the ache,
Resonant echoes of bonds that might break.
In the depths of my heart, I stand all alone,
Wishing for solace, for the love we once owned.
