I tell my story while you cover your ears.

I watch as you skip to see my fears.

And yet you talk as if you know me.

The real me has to disagree.

My story isn't just what you see on the surface.

The depth of my purpose,

Travels further than an international circus,

But what would you know?

You weren’t there to watch me grow.

You didn’t care that I struggled,

But admired the way I hustled.

As my assets doubled,

I noticed you became troubled.

My failure is your guilty pleasure

While my demise is your forbidden treasure.

If only my failure could last forever,

However, even if success is my endeavor;

You hope espionage will gain my favor.

Traitor, traitor, why do you hate me so?

Is it easier to be my foe?

Shouldn’t you want to see me glow?

Why did you let me go?

Envy was the name

And my father mastered the game.
