When Nonsense Is Sensible

Well, I can’t put it any more clearly, sir, for it isn't clear to me

Lingering near the rabbit hole, tryn' to be like Mona Lisa,

while mad hatters stand in line, to guard the door.

Abiding by the lessons, recapped by Mother Teresa,

trying hard to recall now, what it's all for.

Communications halted as cell phones replace companionships,

sensual touch long gone, left solely to produce.

The struggles make the man, so, display a stronger upper lip,

if we turn back now, then tell me, what's the use?

Tell me that the sky is black, and I might well believe you,

I can no longer see the forest burning through the trees.

We've taken our toll on the earth, awaiting a new break through,

and press record and watch, as we crumble into the sea.

Sensational poem for sure, you out did yourself on this one

  • Gosh this was so deep and emotional! Absolutely amazing!

  • Painfully agonizing, trying to move forward while everything from relationships to the whole world are falling apart, hoping to answer the question even as we continue to ask, "What's it all for?" Thought-provoking, mind-bending, & hopelessly hopeful.

A completely different kind of sadness in this one. I think this may be my favourite piece of your of work (I can have a favourite - it's not a kid or a cat!).

Ooooohhhh! This one has as much depth as the ocean. It speaks volumes about how technology, and our embrace of it, has changed humanity in so many unfortunate ways. From technology, we have gained...but oh, what we have lost!
