I watch you from a distance every week
Waiting for the opportunity to speak
While the waves so confidently exhaled their mist on you
Allowing the sea
Dressed in its blue robe
To gently caress your feet
*
You sit by the shore for a few minutes
Teasing the water with your beauty
It would kindle up a tune with the wind
Eventually erupting into a symphony
*
If the sea can find a way to communicate
What reason did I have to wait
I want to remind you that you’re not alone
The universe has denied your request to leave this home
*
You are loved and cherished, I speak for all of us here
Your eyes smile for you even when your lips don’t move
Look how the sun paints a dark umber on your skin
Varnishing it with a glossy shimmer whenever it is beaming
*
I love it when you come to spend time outside
I’m always excited about having good company
Now that you know your presence is appreciated
I hope we can continue to build an even stronger friendship
