When Light Finds Silence
A quiet moment where light meets water, and silence speaks the loudest.
By osam khanPublished 6 months ago • 1 min read

In a world that rarely pauses, this poem captures a rare and gentle stillness — the moment sunlight brushes the surface of a quiet pond. Through soft imagery and emotional depth, When Light Finds Silence explores the beauty in silence, memory, and the golden hush that changes everything, even if just for a moment.
When Light Finds Silence
by [Osam khan]
The sun does not shout—
it whispers on the water,
a hush over the quiet pond
where time forgets to move.
Leaves still,
like they’re holding breath,
and I — I wait for nothing
but the shimmer of stillness.
A dragonfly hovers,
its wings catching fire
in a language I can’t speak
but somehow remember.
There’s no music,
yet everything sings—
the light,
the breeze,
even my silence.
For a moment,
nothing hurts.
The past softens,
the future dissolves.
All that remains
is this:
a golden sigh of sun
on the skin of water—
and the peace
I didn’t know I needed.
