I remember when the tears flowed,
and never froze from fear.
And when the sun shone, they purely glowed,
The water then was still clear.
-
I remember when my heart broke,
and threw its fragments from the sky.
The shatters screamed till the dead awoke
and taught them how to fly.
-
I remember when the fear was fine,
and fluttered deep inside.
It was faint enough to grace it mine,
it was delicate enough to abide.
-
I remember when it still hurt,
and it was okay to sometimes cry.
But beneath the gloom of history's dirt,
the memories begin to slowly die.

Beautiful! 😊
Wow! Such a beautiful piece Rachel. Especially the line " it was okay to sometimes cry" hits hard
