When It Landed

oh too soon the darling bird wanted to go

When It Landed

It came to rest,

no sound, no stir.

She didn’t move,

just looked at her.

No chase, no call,

no sudden flight,

just breath and stillness,

soft as light.

The room held hush,

the world grew wide.

A quiet guest,

no need to hide.

Its eyes met hers,

no words were said.

A kind of calm

inside her spread.

It didn’t stay,

nor did it flee,

just left her hands

a little free.

And in its place,

not weight, not sound

just something lost

that had been found

We can all learn lessons from the birds and nature. One just has to observe and listen. Good job.

nice to read Love is like a variety of people. But for me, love does not mean just one person, but many people of many kinds—who sit very close to my heart.
