When I'm Gone...

Instructions for Disappearing Challenge

I don't know why I feel like it's new,

I've spent my whole life disappearing from view.

I've written my notes to all I hold dear,

Left them in a box they'll never find I fear.

Quit my job, cancelled all but one card,

It really shouldn't be all this hard.

I'll hold on for a few more days at most,

Just enough time to become another ghost.

There's a few more things I simply must do,

Buy some clothes, shoes, and a new hairdo too.

Just know that as vain as it may sound,

I want to look pretty when I am found.

These are my instructions for disappearing,

I know that to you it may hold no bearing,

But in a few days will come a dawn,

When I am gone...
