"Embracing the Wisdom of Time: My Journey Through the Years"

By Aranna Hasan Delwar Published 2 years ago 1 min read

I will grow old, my skin will sag

The body will lose energy

Eyes will lose their sharpness

The teeth will leave me

On the pretext of busyness, loved ones will stay away,

I would lie alone like an inanimate object in the corner of the room.

Various diseases will come and nest in my weak body

I am a weary wayfarer, whose eyes are wet with too much thought,

A soul awaiting death

This immobile body will want to leave.

But for so long this body was his only vehicle,

Today that soul will want to kill him

Time is very selfish ---

He also passed by as he was unsteady.

Here's hoping no one has a lonely death - instead, with age, they see better, more clearly even though their eyes are old and weary.
