Dad

To my wife ,

Now that I am gone remember me as you did the day I Married you .

Remember me the day each of our children were born.

Remember me each day I said I love you .

Remember me when the seasons change ,Remember me in the light of day remember me in the starry sky of the dark night .

Remember our love ,our family we built ,Remember why I was there - to be by your side .

Your life must go on .

Remember now my time is over my life was filled to the brim with love ,laughter, family and memories I take with me .

As we part ways anger will try to settle in ,it will dig deep to make a home with in .

YOU are strong My dear wife Push the anger out as you did then when I was here ,Let the sound fill the air yell out let me know I can still hear you .

You can't see me but I am still with you in your heart, In your thoughts, In your dreams, In our home ,For I put my soul into the work my hands once did . The paint on the walls the smell of dinner on the grill the patio you sit on . In the words our children speak the sound of our grandchildren's feet running through the house to us. THIS IS WHAT I KEEP .

Remember me the way I was, who I was .

The end has come because I have finished my book the writing ends here . The Way we were .

sad poetry
