When Dreamers Can’t Dream
The Night is wrong inside you are lost

When Dreamers can’t Dream by George’s Girl
In shadows thick where whispers weep,
The dreamers tread, their hopes gone deep,
Once they soared on wings of light,
Now they wander through endless night.
The stars that sparkled in their eyes,
Have dimmed to echoes, silent sighs,
A currency not bought or sold,
But dignity, their heart's pure gold.
With every pulse, the pain persists,
As dreams dissolve in morning mists,
Yet still they chase, though paths are lost,
For what remains is worth the cost.
In hollow rooms where silence reigns,
They cradle fragments of their pains,
And though the world may turn away,
Their spirits fight, they choose to stay.
For in the night where shadows creep,
A flicker stirs, a promise deep,
dreamers’ dreams may fade and fray,
Their hearts refuse to turn to clay.
So let them weep, let them lament,
For lost tomorrows, dreams now spent,
Yet in that sorrow, strength is found,
In brokenness, they stand their ground.
If dreamers can’t dream, it's hard to cope,
But through the dark, they cradle hope,
For even when the night feels long,
Within their hearts, a silent song

I've been writing poetry since the age of fourteen. With pen in hand, I wander through realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals hidden thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture your mind❤️
