The hand tilted the glass, and a cascade of shimmering colors spilled into the air, each fragment a memory reborn. A quiet voice drifted through the scene…
Voice in the Light:
"Careful now. Each piece has a story."
Hand:
"And every story has its end. Do we not let go, to make room for more?"
The colors danced, twisting and shifting as if alive. A spark of teal spoke, catching the hand's attention.
Teal Fragment:
"Why must we fall, when we once fit so perfectly?"
Hand:
"Not everything we hold is meant to stay. Sometimes, beauty lies in the letting go."
Another fragment, a sliver of violet, sighed as it spun in the light.
Violet Fragment:
"Then will we be forgotten?"
Hand:
"No, little one. In freedom, you find new purpose. Each of you will become something greater, together a mosaic in the wind."
A golden fragment laughed, swirling around the others.
Golden Fragment:
"Then let us go joyfully! Who knows where the breeze may take us?"
The hand smiled, watching as the pieces began to scatter, coloring the air around them.
Hand:
"So dance, my memories, as you drift. Carry a piece of me wherever you fall."
The colors shimmered and flowed, each one a fleeting echo of a moment once held close, now released to the world.
And as they drifted on, a quiet understanding lingered, between the hand and the light-filled fragments:
Sometimes, to lose is to let live.

The concept that surrendering is such a powerful concept.
😍👌
❤️👌👍😊some poems are beyond words.
This was the best analogy for memories that we need to let go of. You were sensitive with the way you approached it, gentle. The colours made the need to let go, easier. I love that you gave the memories a voice, and the hand a voice too. The hand made this less direct, which we all love, it is preferred around delicate matters. You’re absolutely amazing, I will never get tired of saying that.
Oh wow, I am so impressed. This poem is so lovely in its metaphorical balance. It reminds me a great deal of Kahlil Gibran, one of my favorites of all time. Based on this piece alone, I am subscribing to you. Such beautifully penned words.
Wow! so beautiful!
Wow! This is so beautifully dialogued Komal. Surreal poem!
So beautiful!!
I needed to read this, probably didn't want to, but still needed to.... 💕
This is a beautiful and poignant exploration of the nature of memory and the impermanence of all things. The imagery is vivid and the dialogue between the Hand and the fragments is both insightful and moving. The author skillfully conveys the bittersweet nature of letting go, and the idea that even in endings, there's always the potential for new beginnings. It's a reminder to embrace change and find beauty in the impermanence of life.
Beautiful Dialogue
I agree totally. Letting go is not to lose….it’s to win in another way.
This symbolizes the deep and emotional reflections of a scene, expressing the transience of life and the search for completeness. Between the breaking of the glass and the scattering of colors, it creates a beautiful symbolism—just like in life, everything has a beginning and an end, and in all these moments, there is an invisible current that connects them. Very well done.
Loved this poem!
Splendid concept ✨ The colors in the glass represented all the memories... All the inner pieces of the person's heart are scared and thoughtful of being liberated. What a unique way of letting things go 🦋❤ Komal, you rock girl ✨ The amount of energy your words contain is mind-blowing.
